The company started it promotions in the Kuwait market with a big bang. They really set the course for change in the telecommunications industry in Kuwait. The first one (and the one I consider the best) was to not charge clients for receiving international calls or calls from landlines, as most people can probably remember how the other telecom companies here in Kuwait did. The second was to give the client the choice to set one line (from Viva of course) as a special number which you can call for free all day/night long. In addition to those they also offered many other services. That was enough for them to start a very successful business with a very active market.

VIVA offers you the option to call for just 10 fils per minute & send unlimited FREE SMS to one VIVA number added as your Best Friend. You can change your Best Friend Number as many times as you want. However, every additional change is charged at 500 fils.
How to Add a Best Friend
* 1. Simply enter *300*# and press the Send button on your mobile. You will receive a confirmation SMS.
* 2. Send your Best Friend’s number by SMS to 300.You will receive a confirmation SMS.
How to delete a Best Friend
* 1. Simply dial #300*# and press “Send”. You will receive a confirmation SMS.
* 2. Send “Del ” by SMS to 300. (e.g. “Del 55XXXXXX).You will receive a confirmation SMS.
